One of the most liberating moments in my life was when I finally accepted myself. We grow up looking to others to get a sense and better understanding of who we are. Our parents tell us what to do and who to be friends with. Although well intentioned when we get to an age where we realise that we are not our parents mini me, then begins an exciting and scary quest to discover who we are. Brene Brown perfectly summarises the beauty of imperfections and the hurts we go through. Each bump in the road, heartbreak, celebration – literally everything we go through is a vital part of our story. Everyone has unique stories and experiences that make us who we are. Instead of shrinking away from life and backing down because you are scared of feeling again, live. I cannot think of anything more defining than individual experience…
